Alpha #01
Devlog & Alpha Page
This Devlog page was launched as a permanent daily log with a fixed side navigation.
The Waitlist was completely removed. All “Join” buttons now lead directly to Alpha registration. Previous Waitlist records were exported and the table was removed.
All “Pre-Alpha” references on the /alpha page were updated to “Alpha”.
Getting Started Experience
A step-by-step Getting Started progress tracker was added to both the Profile and Feed sidebar.
The progress trackers in Feed and Profile were inconsistent. They are now aligned.
Needs & Offers
Missing or incorrect names and avatars on person-created listings were fixed.
Ownership logic for person-created listings on /opportunities was corrected.
Visual & Design
A subtle top-to-bottom gradient was added to the background.
Borders were removed from Feed cards for a cleaner appearance.
Open and close animations were added to the Messages, Invite and Report panels as well as chat windows.
The Light/Dark theme toggle had disappeared and was restored to the account menu.
The site logo now loads faster and at the correct size.
Account & Company Switching
The “Act as Company” control was moved directly below Profile in the account menu.
“This is actually my company” no longer forces a redirect to the Company page. The option is now simply highlighted in the menu.
Sign Up & Sign In
Sign Up and Sign In buttons were too narrow on both desktop and mobile in both English and Turkish. This was fixed.
Logged-out visitors on mobile and tablet now see a clear “Sign In” button instead of an unlabeled icon.
Localization
Department names and the role field in Projects were still appearing in English on the Turkish site. They are now properly localized.
Profile | Education
The School field is no longer free text. It is now connected to a real, searchable database of approximately 10,000 universities.
Messaging
On mobile, opening a conversation through any route, including notifications, the Messages panel or the Message button on a profile, could push the chat window almost completely off-screen and make it unusable. This was fixed and messaging now works properly on mobile.
Even when the other person had already replied, every new message could trigger another “X sent you a message” notification. A recent fix had accidentally introduced this issue. It has now been corrected.
