Privacy and Cookie Policy

This policy explains in plain language what happens to your personal data when you use the UmayNow platform (umaynow.com, the "Platform"). For the details of what data we process on which legal ground, and your rights under Turkish data protection law, see the Personal Data Notice.
In short
- What you write on your profile, your posts and your comments are visible to other users. Some of it is also visible to signed out visitors and search engines.
- Only the people you are talking to see your messages.
- When you visit a profile or a company page, its owner can see you among their visitors from the last 24 hours.
- We use your data to suggest people, companies and opportunities that fit you.
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Who sees what?

Matching and ranking
Using your profile, your goals and your activity on the Platform, the Platform suggests people, companies, jobs, investors and support organizations to you, ranks your Feed and calculates trust scores for companies. This is done automatically. If you want to object to a result, write to info@umaynow.com.
Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary (the Platform doesn't work without them, no consent needed):

We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which don't use cookies, to measure site speed and page views.
You can change your cookie choice at any time with the button at the end of this page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block strictly necessary cookies you may not be able to sign in.
Security
Your data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your password is stored in irreversibly encrypted form; nobody, including us, can see it. Database access is restricted so that each user can only reach the data they are allowed to see.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time in Settings > Delete Account. Deletion happens immediately and can't be undone: your profile, posts, conversations and uploaded images are deleted. Company pages you own need to be handed over to someone who works there, or deleted, first. Your data is deleted or anonymized, except for what we are legally required to keep. If you can't sign in, write to info@umaynow.com from your registered email address; we will do it within 30 days at the latest.
Age limit
The Platform is a professional network and is not designed for people under 18. If you are under 18, please do not create an account.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If there is an important change, we will let you know on the Platform or by email. The current version is always on this page.
